Can We Still Trust Straights As Leaders?

The shocking revelation this week that all the Republican House leaders who enabled and covered-up the internet stalking by a House member were, in fact, known heterosexuals raises the unfortunate but necessary question - "can straights be trusted to lead anymore?" I wish I could report that this phenemenon of mal-governence by straights was restricted to the current scandal but, alas, one only has to look at the incompetance, immorality, and sexually of all our current leaders: Bush, Chaney, Rumsfeld, Brownie, - the list is endless - and you will see a glaring pattern emerge. Every last one of them is straight.
Now you might be tempted to add that they are also all Republicans, and I will concede that the quality of the straight pool improves dramatically when that subset is removed, as it soon will be. Nevertheless, problems still remain. For instance, I give you, and with a no-return policy, J. Lieberman(admittedly bi-political.) Massachusetts has produced J. Kerrey and B. Frank, both good men,but who is the more forceful(and entertaining), who the more equivocating on important issues.
Nor is it only recent events that demand fuller examination. History provides such examples as Attila the Hun, Genghis Khan,Pol Pot, Stalin - again all straight - and probably even Hitler himself! (as well as all those "not since Hitler"s that seem to arise each year). I'd include R Nixon, but revisionists have posited that he more likely was asexual.
Leaving aside the political for the business realm, we find such heterosexuals as K Lay, J Abramoff, -again the list is endless.(I omit D Trump because I refuse to contemplate him in any context, sexual or otherwise.) Turning now to family matters please recall that Susan Smith murdered her children to make herself more available to a male, not female ex-lover. While it would be impractical to bar heterosexual women from bearing children, surely we can revisit our adopton laws to effect a lesbians only policy.
Yes, we all know that sweet straight couple down the street or close friend from college. It would be wrong to paint all heterosexuals with a single brush - which is why I advocate a compassionate tolerance. But something must be done. One suggestion is to institute re-orientation camps using such techniques as aversion therapy. Granted these have been notoriously ineffective when applied to a gay-to-straight conversion. But it might be much more fruitful, so to speak, if applied in the opposite direction. As far as I know, it hasn't even been tried!
A final note to messers Falwell, Robertson, Dobson, et al - all(presumably) straight. It was Adam and Eve who fucked up and got the human race booted out of the earthly paradise. Adam and Steve no doubt would still be contentedly gardening to this day.
